New features of ToloGo

While the main focus of the week is on the widget and how to use it, we'll also take a look at some of the other new features that ToloGo has recently added. We are constantly striving to improve ToloGo ahead of our users. In practice, this means that we are doing everything we can to make it easier and more discreet to open the door. The addition of a widget for both iOS and Android devices is a significant step on this development path.

In addition to the widget, more advanced iOS users can now create their own automations using the Shortcuts app on iOS devices. ToloGo can be found in Quick Commands among other apps. Quick Commands allow you to create the most original automations. Develop your own automation and share its best features on Instagram by tagging us!

The next ToloGo convenience is on the wrists of many! ToloGo allows you to install a dedicated app on your Apple Watch that automatically syncs with the ToloGo on your iPhone. ToloGo on your Apple Watch gives you your nearest doors to open. Two taps and your door is open!

If and when your ToloGo app accumulates a number of accesses that are important to you, you may have the worrying thought that your phone will disappear and someone else will open the doors for you. To guard against such security threats, we have made it possible to lock the app with biometric authentication methods now available on almost every mobile phone. Head to your app settings. If your phone supports biometric authentication, you will find a button in the menu to enable it. Even if you enable authentication, it won't slow you down much when you open your app. Give it a try!

Although we will not discuss mobile user interfaces next, the theme can still be placed alongside the features of a mobile app. Indeed, we have developed our own ToloGo app for the Android Automotive OS (AAOS). The AAOS can be found "under the dashboard" of more and more new cars, which also made us think about our next steps. The parking world is one of the most important use cases for our systems. What easier way to open a car park door than for the car itself to offer an approaching door for opening. In the case of ToloGo-AAOS, we can almost speak of a level of convenience comparable to that of a truck detection system. One tap and the door opens!

The application is currently in the testing phase. If you have AAOS in your car and would be interested in testing ToloGo's AAOS application, please email us at myynti@tolotech.fi and we will add you as a tester!

17.6. The ToloGo door-opening toolkit expands once again. This is a relatively significant innovation that will change the way you walk on ToloGo forever. Imagine a locked entrance in front of you. From now on, you only need to activate your sense of hearing to unlock that entrance. It just snaps open in front of you. Assuming, of course, that you have active access to the site.
