Technology: continuous development and new opportunities

You can enter your home with a traditional key, but for the building's waste deposit box you need a PIN code. For parking at work, you have a tag. Use one app to book a padel court and another to get to the gym. For the electric car charging point in the courtyard of the sports hall, you need a different app.

Right. Would it really be possible to link together all the doors and gates you use every day, as well as your space or game reservations, downloads and even payment for them. Yes! All these services are combined in ToloGo app, published by Tolotech Oy at the end of last year.

The founder of the company, Petteri Tolonen, stresses that product development is always driven by customer needs and wishes.

  • Technology is close to my heart and I like to follow it. In this sector, you need to know where you are going and what is coming. You have to have a broad interest in everything related to technology, such as "hardware", code or web technology, but also in how people use technology.

Petteri also sees it as important for product and service development that skilled salespeople are able to bring up in customer conversations what kind of products and services are needed next. Cooperation between customer, sales and product development was also the starting point for the new ToloGo application.

The ToloGo app brings users and service providers together

The idea behind the ToloGo app is to bring together different service providers and their users - using the same app to book spaces or places, access them and soon charge your car.

  • The app conveniently combines, for example, access to the gym, reservations and access to the padel court, and access to the parking garage of your own building. You can charge your electric car even during the game," Petteri explains.

Petteri sees the ToloGo app as just at the beginning of its journey.

  • We will certainly continue to develop the application for a long time, and we don't know yet in which direction it will eventually take shape. Users will certainly show us that," he says.

As the range of products and services has grown, so has the size of the company. Currently, Tolotech's office in Tampere employs around 10 part-time and full-time staff. The Key Flag logo reflects the company's strong domestic presence.
