Pöytätennis Jyväskylä chose the ToloGo app

Central Finland's only table tennis club Pöytätennis Jyväskylä took a leap into the unknown last autumn by opening its own ping pong hall.

The two-table hall with ping-pong robots opened in September at Seppälänkankaalle is a dream come true for the club. With just under 100 members, the club now has a home for its junior and adult players.

But dreams don't come for free. The club has had to invest in a new way of fundraising, one form of which is the sale of individual game tickets to customers.

The need for an electronic booking system was quickly recognised. Running individual bookings quickly becomes very cumbersome, even in a small club with only a few bookings per week.

Booking systems were actively explored in the club. Among several options, the club decided on the ToloGo application.

  • ToloGo immediately caught my attention. When the access control device and app come from the same provider, it makes a lot of things possible. As ToloGo has only just been launched, we still have a chance to influence its development," says Henri Pelkonen, the club's chairman.

The decision was also influenced by the great look and feel of the app and its simplicity of use. Opening the door with the app was exactly the kind of innovation that the club appreciated.

Now ToloGo has been in use at Pöytätennis Jyväskylä for a few months. According to Chairman Pelkonen, the feedback from individual users of the hall has been almost exclusively positive. Reservations are easy and access to the hall has been very smooth.

The booking system has freed up the time of the club's voluntary management for other tasks. Individual bookings in the hall run independently and do not require a large workload.

According to Pelkonen, one of ToloGo's greatest strengths is its extremely fast customer support.

  • With a new system, there are always some questions. It has been really gratifying to see how quickly all questions are answered. The customer is never left alone - no matter what time of day or day of the week!

In the future, Pöytätennis Jyväskylä aims to grow into the largest table tennis club in Finland. ToloGo is one of the enablers of this goal.
